Description : The course blends organizational theory with real-life experiences in the non-profit disability sector. Students will learn core organizational theories, with a special emphasis on nonprofit agencies serving people with disabilities. Differences between for-profit and non-profit organizations are addressed, including budgeting and fiscal management.

Wednesday 6:00 PM To 8:30 PM
This is a blended course, which combines face-to-face and online sessions. Students must attend the first session on Wednesday, January 13, in person. Additional face-to-face meetings will be arranged at the first class. For the face-to-face meetings arranged at the first class, students will be required to either attend the classroom session or to use a UIC “e-room” to participate in the session from a computer as it occurs.
Class will not meet during Spring Break, March 22-26, 2010.
Enrollment Deadline : Two weeks prior to the first class
This course is a regular UIC campus course (listed in the UIC Schedule of Classes) in which a limited number of seats is available for continuing education students. If you are a regularly admitted UIC student and wish to enroll in this course, you must enroll in the campus section of that course by using Student Self-Service.
