Directions to campus

UIC is accessible by car and public transportation. For more information on how to get to UIC, go to the Directions to Campus page.

Parking
There are three kinds of parking lots available across the UIC campus:

• Card access lots – Reserved for students in credit courses with parking assignments. To purchase a parking assignment on a semester-only basis, bring a copy of your OCE enrollment confirmation and student ID (i-card) to the Parking Services Office.
• Meter lots – You can use cash for these lots.
• Visitor lots – You can use cash or parking coupons for these lots. To purchase parking coupons, bring a copy of your OCE enrollment confirmation to the Parking Services Office.

Please note that the meter and visitor lots will require visitors to either pay upon entrance or exit. Lots that require you to pay upon exit, but which do not have an attendant on duty, will require that your ticket stub be returned and payment be made to a cashbox.

Parking on the East Campus
If your classes are held in the Education, Performing Arts, and Social Work Building (EPASW) or the Behavioral Sciences Building (BSB), the Harrison Street Parking Structure (HRPS) is the most convenient.

If you’re going to Student Center East (SCE), the Lecture Centers (LC), Library (LIB), or the Science and Engineering Offices or Laboratories (SEO or SEL), the Halsted Street Parking Structure (HLPS) is the most convenient.

Parking on the West Campus
If your classes are located on the West Campus, the following are convenient parking options: Paulina Street Parking Structure (PSPS), Wood Street Parking Structure (WSPS), lot C4, lot E, lot J, and lot W2.
