We’ve compiled a list of resources—both within and outside of UIC—that you may find of interest. We will add resources to the list as we learn of them. If you know of a resource you think would be helpful to our students, please email us the link.

1. UIC Office of Admissions and Records (OAR)
   OAR should be your first contact if you are interested in applying to UIC as a undergraduate or graduate student.
2. UIC Alumni Association
   The Alumni Association sponsors various events and networking opportunities for UIC alums.
3. Blackboard Learning System
   If your class uses Blackboard, you can login from this website.
4. UIC Bookstore
   Use this website to order your textbooks online or see store information, such as locations, opening hours, etc.
5. UIC Computer Center (ACCC)
   Visit this site for information about student computer labs, setting up a UIC computer account, and changing your email settings.
6. UIC Council on Teacher Education
   The council serves faculty, students, teachers, and school partners committed to quality education – a valuable resource if you have questions about teacher certification.
7. Student Self-Service
   OCE students can use this website to access their grades and request transcripts (NOT to register!).
8. UIC Financial Aid
   This site provides information about financial aid. Students must be admitted to a degree program in order to be eligible for financial aid.
9. Grade reports
   From this website, you can access your grade report by logging into Student Self-Service with your EnterpriseID and password. Visit our Post-Enrollment FAQs for information about establishing your EnterpriseID.
10. UIC Graduate College
   If you are interested in applying to UIC as a graduate student, this website provides useful information about admissions, programs of study, and graduate level courses offered at UIC.
11. UIC Library
   Search the UIC Library catalog or use the library’s valuable online services and resources.
12. UIC Online Phonebook
   Search contact information for the university’s faculty, staff or departments.
13. UIC Energy Resource Center, College of Engineering
   The Energy Resource Center is an interdisciplinary organization dedicated to improving energy efficiency and the environment. The Center offers professional development workshops for design professionals and facility managers.
14. Professional Development Programs (PDP), College of Business Administration
   PDP keeps professionals and entrepreneurs equipped with the latest knowledge and skills in critical business areas, offering certificate programs (e.g. Urban Real Estate, E-Business), as well as customized corporate training.
15. Transcripts
   Find details on how to request your official transcript from UIC issued by the Office of Registration and Records, listing all your courses completed and grades earned from the university. You may request your transcript online from this page.
16. UIC Tutorium in Intensive English (TIE)
   TIE offers English as a Second Language (ESL) courses and courses to prepare for the TOEFL exam.
17. UIC Webmail
   Access your UIC email account (your NetID@uic.edu) from any computer through UIC Webmail.
18. UIC West Campus bookstore
   From this website you can order books for west campus classes (health sciences).
19. About.com: Continuing/Adult Education
   If you are interested in returning to school, this website provides information geared towards adult learners, including study tips, resources, and learning style questionnaires. This site also has information for teachers interested in teaching adult students.
20. Chicago Public Schools (CPS)
   This website provides useful information for CPS teachers and those interested in working for CPS, including information about alternative certification programs.
21. CPS Office of Mathematics and Science
   The CPS OMS website is a helpful resource for CPS teachers working towards their Math and Science Endorsement or interested in professional development programs. Funding is available for qualifying teachers.
22. Chicago Transit Authority (CTA)
   The UIC Campus is conveniently accessible by public transportation. The CTA website has bus and train schedules, CTA system maps, fares and a handy trip planning feature.
23. City Colleges of Chicago
   This website provides links to each of the City Colleges. You can access their credit and noncredit course schedules and information on GED classes from this site.
24. Discovery Center, Chicago’s Lifelong Learning Center
   The Discovery Center offers a number of lifelong learning classes, including classes in the arts, computers, languages, physical fitness, and writing.
25. Educational Testing Service (ETS)
   You can find information about taking the TOEFL, GRE, and other tests.
26. General Educational Development (GED), Cook County
   Read information about preparing for and taking the GED. If you do not live in Cook County, the site provides phone numbers for other Regional Offices of Education throughout Illinois.
27. Illinois Council on Economic Education
   The council provides information about professional development and educational resources for K-12 economics teachers.
28. Illinois Physical Therapy Association (IPTA)
   The non-profit professional membership organization serves physical therapists, physical therapist assistants and students in Illinois.
29. Illinois State Board of Education
   The ISBE website is a source for comprehensive information about certification and recertification for teachers, as well as other topics for teachers.
30. New Horizons Learning Center, Chicago
   New Horizons offers a variety of computer classes, including certification programs.
31. Study Guide Zone – Study Guides for Standardized Tests
   The Study Guide Zone website offers free study guides for a variety of undergraduate and graduate admissions exams including the ACT, SAT, GRE, GMAT, and MCAT.
32. University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (UIUC)
   If you are interested in applying to UIUC or have previously attended there and need transcripts, please visit this website.
