Office of External Education
Our affiliate OEE gives you access to the University’s online degree programs, select certificate programs and noncredit courses for professional development. It is OEE’s goal to advance instructional outreach through collaboration with UIC's colleges, departments, units, and centers. College of Business Administration - Professional Development Programs
PDP keeps professionals and entrepreneurs equipped with the latest knowledge and skills in critical business areas. Their continuing business education programs range from multi-course certificate programs in specific disciplines to e-learning to customized corporate training, on or off premise. College of Dentistry - Continuing Education
Next to the graduate-level credit programs offered through our office (OCE), the College of Dentistry offers noncredit programs for licensed, practicing dentists and dental hygienists and assistants. For more information, click on “Continuing Education” on the College website. Highlights include such courses as Endodontic Microscopy and Nitrous Oxide Monitoring and Administration. Phone: (312) 996-7508.
 
College of Medicine - Continuing Medical Education
UIC College of Medicine is one of four University of Illinois sites that make up the nation’s largest medical school. CME’s regularly scheduled conferences (RSC) throughout the year cover a broad range of topics in the particular discipline, whereas CME courses are more focused and of shorter duration (2 hours to several days). CME also offers interactive online activities. CME’s audience are physicians who want to enhance their performance and behavior and acquire new knowledge, skills, and attitudes appropriate to the latest practice theories. Phone: (312) 996-1621.

College of Nursing - Institute for Healthcare Innovation
Next to the graduate-level credit programs offered through our office, the College’s Institute for Healthcare Innovation features various noncredit programs. In offering these continuing education and professional development programs, it is the Institute’s mission to advance health care leadership through the integration of research, teaching, and practice. The Institute is also a resource for consulting, practice partnerships and health policy solutions. Phone: (312) 355-0192.
 
College of Pharmacy - Continuing Education and Meeting Services
This program offers up-to-date information to pharmacists using state-of-the-art technology, including online courses and web conferencing. Other offers consist of live seminars at hotels, resorts, restaurants, hospitals and medical centers. The College of Pharmacy’s outreach goal is to provide convenient, worthwhile programming which meets the needs of today’s pharmacists. Phone: (312) 996-7190.
 
College of Public Health - Continuing Education
Through continuing education, the College of Public Health aspires to enhance the knowledge and skills public health practitioners, allied professionals, and others need to better protect and promote the health of the public they serve. There are four divisions: 1) The Great Lakes Centers for Occupational and Environmental Safety & Health, providing continuing education to occupational and environmental health and safety professionals. 2) The Public Health Informatics Program, providing certification for those professionals who already have a public health degree or public health experience involved in the informatics mission of their agencies and wish to upgrade their informatics skills, as well as individuals desiring to pursue a shorter course of study in public health informatics with an option to apply for the full MPH informatics degree program at a later date. 3) The Public Health Preparedness Center that exists to enhance the readiness of the public health workforce in responding to routine and urgent public health threats, including bioterrorism events. 4) The Maternal & Child Health Bureau, providing continuing education and technical assistance to the MCH workforce with a focus on improving the health of women, children, and families. Tutorium in Intensive English 
The Tutorium offers year-round, noncredit intensive ESL instruction for academic preparation and professional development. TIE’s English for International Professionals Series (EIPS) is designed for professionals and academics who have finished their ESL studies and wish to improve specific English skills. Other offerings include the TOEFL Preparation Course for students who already have very good English and want to prepare for the TOEFL by practicing and learning key test-taking strategies and gaining experience and confidence taking the computerized TOEFL.
